isl\u00e0mica, t\u00e9 el seu origen en l\u00b4aprofitament de les aig\u00fces del Riu Monnegre i d\u00b4altres xicotets corrents espor\u00e0dics.<\/p>\n<p>La influ\u00e8ncia \u00e0rab quedaria confirmada tant per la forma isl\u00e0mica de distribuci\u00f3 de l\u00b4aigua, mantinguda pels nous pobladors cristians, com per la superviv\u00e8ncia de la topon\u00edmia \u00e0rab en tot el llenguatge relacionat amb el reg.<\/p>\n<p>Este sistema hidr\u00e0ulic est\u00e0 format per l\u00b4Assut de Mutxamel o de \u201cles Fontetes\u201d, l\u00b4Assut de Sant Joan i l\u00b4Assut del Campello.Tota la xarxa de s\u00e9quies part de l\u00b4Assut de Mutxamel, i es tracta d\u00b4una presa de derivaci\u00f3 i de retenci\u00f3 constru\u00efda abans que el pant\u00e0 de Tibi, funcionant des del s. XIII. La seua funci\u00f3 era arreplegar part de les aig\u00fces del Riu Monnegre i enviar-les a la s\u00e9quia principal, anomenada \u201cmajor o del consell\u201d, des d\u00b4on es derivaven distints bra\u00e7als per a regar tot el camp d\u00b4Alacant.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Les preses originals van estar en perfecte funcionament fins al segle XIX, van ser restaurades durant este segle i fins hui es conserven en el mateix estat.<\/p>\n<p>Els \u00abassuters\u00bb eren els encarregats de desviar les aig\u00fces \u00abde ventura\u00bb o \u00abde duit\u00bb cap als diferents camps de cultiu de l&#8217;Horta d&#8217;Alacant. Per a aix\u00f2 usaven un sistema de comunicaci\u00f3 que permetia avisar amb temps de l&#8217;arribada d&#8217;aigua mitjan\u00e7ant el repicar de les campanes de les diferents ermites situades al llarg del llit del riu Montnegre. Una altra manera d&#8217;anunciar l&#8217;arribada d&#8217;aigua de reg era mitjan\u00e7ant trets a l&#8217;aire d&#8217;escopeta o amb una botzina.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;Assut de Mutxamel i l&#8217;Assut de Sant Joan estan declarats B\u00e9 d&#8217;Inter\u00e9s cultural dins de la categoria de Monument.<\/p>\n<p>Trobem en l&#8217;\u00c0rea Recreativa La Sabateta i Assut de Mutxamel el Centre d&#8217;Interpretaci\u00f3 Els Fontetes un centre dissenyat per a acollir visitants on pot con\u00e9ixer el sistema de reg tradicional.
